NEWSPAPER FIRST DRAFT IN InDesign

This is my first creation through the use of InDesign of my newspaper front cover, for my local newspaper

the Element. I have cherry picked the stories for the front cover maintaining the important of the audience therefore I have a interesting storu with a large dominant photo alongside a negative crime article. The advert is in the bottom right of the page which is similar to that of the layout of the Bristol Evening Post.

I carefully selected the weight of the font and selected the sub-heading to go with the title at 27pt whilst the headline itself is bigger and bolder. It is also a different font to that used for other headings.

I have included essentials such as basic captions, pricing and website reflecting interactavity however my vacant ears of my newspaper could included further evidence of the modern brand, the element.
